The great theme of the Holy Bible is life itself. Thus the Bible starts with Genesis, the beginning or origin of life and unequivocally attributes the creation of all perfect things in Heaven and earth to God Almighty whose name is Jehovah.
Before His works of creation, Jehovah was alone and covered himself with light as with a garment. (Psalm 104:2) When it pleased Him to create, the beginning of His creation was the Logos, (Greek) or word in English, meaning Interpreter or Spokesman for God Almighty. It was when he came to this earth that he was known as Jesus Christ.
God Almighty thereafter commissioned His creative agent, the Logos or Jesus Christ to create other perfect things in heaven and earth. - John 1:1-3,12; Revelation 3:14; Colossians 1:15-18 Genesis 1:1.
The heavens, including the Sun, Moon, Stars and heavenly hosts (the angels) came about "by the word of God" - by the command of God. "For He spake, and it was done; he commanded and it stood fast." The Sun and the Moon and Stars were created "to divide the day from the night, and for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years" - Psalm 33:6,9; Hebrews 11:3; 2 Peter 3:5; Isaiah 45:12; Genesis 1:14; Psalm 19:1-3.
Man, the last to be created was, made from the "dust of the ground" and infused with the "breath of life", the active force of God responsible for the functioning of the organs, and "man became a living soul". (Genesis 1:26,27; 2:7) The Bible shows that whereas birds and sea creatures were created out of the sea, the animals on earth were also made of the dust of the ground and given the same breath of life - Ecclesiastes 3:19-20; Genesis 1:20-22
By virtue of the fact that man was created in the image and likeness of God (that, is in the resemblance and characteristics of God) man was given dominion over all creatures on earth. - Genesis 1:26 - 30
The view that man came about by the process of evolution is unscriptural and misleading. God did not embark on this stupendous work of creation just for the fun of it. All perfect things in heaven and on earth were created by Jehovah to glorify Him and "show forth His praise". - Psalm 100:1-3; Isaiah 45:18; Isaiah 43:21; Revelation 4:11

One of the infinite attributes of Jehovah is Justice. (Psalm 89:14). Because He is unchangeable (Malachi 3:6) His word and laws are constant so He can be trusted absolutely. - Hebrews 6:18; Isaiah 40:8.
After man's creation, Lucifer, one of "the Morning Stars" was made overseer of man. Lucifer however abused this priviledge and caused man to fall from the favour of God through disobedience. Since the devil alienated man from God by reason of man's willful disobedience of God's law in the Garden of Eden, man lost his right to life.
God thus manifested His justice when he sentenced Satan represented by the Serpent as well as man to death for breaking His law not to eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. - Genesis 2:16,17; 3:14-19; Hebrews 2:14; Ezekiel 28:12-17; Isaiah 14:12-15.
Consequently, God Almighty changed the name of Lucifer to Dragon, Serpent, Devil and Satan. (Revelation 20:2) God gave the Devil a suspended death sentence the execution of which will take place at the expiration of the time given him to prove his boast that no man would remain faithful to God when exposed to adversity. - Job 1:10-12; 2:3-5,9-10; 1st Corinthians 15:25,26; etc.
Because of sin man lost the privilege of enjoying the Edenic conditions God made for him. He started subsisting on imperfect food and became subject to continuous degeneration and ultimately to death. (Romans 6:23). Thus Adam died within God's one "day" - which is about a thousand years - (Adam lived 930 years) - Genesis 5:5; Psalm 90:4; 2 Peter 3:8.
Divine justice required that nothing short of a perfect human life could serve as a substitute for that life which Adam lost. (Deuteronomy 19: 21). The one to pay back what Adam lost must die, as a sinner yet be sinless. - Galatians 3: 13; 1 Peter 2:22,23.

JEHOVAH'S declaration that through Abraham's seed all nations, yea, mankind will receive blessing is known as the Abrahamic promise. - Genesis 12:1-3.
This precious promise was repeated to Isaac - NOT ISHMAEL (Genesis 26:1-4; Galatians 4:22-25) and then Jacob - Genesis 28:10-14.
In Genesis 17:20,21 God said, "And as for Ishmael, I have heard thee: Behold, I have blessed him, and will make him fruitful, and will multiply him exceedingly; twelve princes will he beget, and I will make him a great nation. But my covenant will I establish Isaac, which Sarah shall bear unto thee at this set time in the next year."
Jacob indicated prophetically that the promised one he called Shiloh will come through the line of Judah. Genesis 49:10
The Bible shows that the promised seed is no other than Jesus Christ through whom life, liberty and happiness will redound to the children of God all over the world. Galatians 3:7-9,16; John 3:16. The sacrifice of Isaac by Abraham foreshadowed the sacrifice of Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God by God Almighty for the redemption of man.
All power has been given to Jesus Christ by God Almighty (Matthew 28:18). It is with this power Jesus Christ the seed of Abraham will bruise or destroy Satan the Devil and bring iniquity to an end and administer life and blessing to all persons who like Abraham are faithful and obedient to God. This will be in God's perfect Kingdom, the world without end. - Isaiah 51:1,2; Galatians 3:7-9; Genesis 3:15; Romans 16:20; Isaiah 65:17-25; Revelation 21:1-5.

Since after the fall of man God has at various times promised to send a Messiah or Redeemer to mankind.
Jacob in prophecy spoke of the coming of Shiloh, the peaceful one. (Genesis 49:10). Moses said God would send to the Israelites a Prophet and that to him they should hearken. (Deuteronomy 18:15; Acts 3:22,23). God made the promise that the Messiah will come through the line of David. - Psalm 132:11,12; Jeremiah 23:5,6.
Other prophecies uttered were that he would be born in Bethlehem. (Micah 5:2) by a virgin (Isaiah 7:14).
Christ was in due time conceived by Mary, a virgin espoused to Joseph the Carpenter, by the power of the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:30,31). He was born in a stable in Bethlehem of Judah in the month of October,
The birth of Jesus was heralded by angels who sang "glory to God in the highest and on earth peace goodwill towards men". - Luke 2:14
The purpose of Christ's coming to the earth are two fold - to preach the gospel so that those who hear and believe might be saved and to die for the remission of sins of mankind. - Matthew 20:28; 2 Corinthians 8:9; 1st Timothy 2:5,6; Luke 4:18-21.
After successfully carrying out his mission on earth Christ was highly exalted by Jehovah. (Philippians 2:9-11) and was given immortality (Revelation 1:18; John 5:26). He was also made the only Mediator between God and men. (1 Timothy 2:5,6). "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved". Acts 4:12.

Ransom means money paid for the release of a person held as prisoner. Having being held captive to various fears, and deprivations at the instance of Satan the Devil, mankind has for long been in the bondage of sin. Psalm 51:5; Romans 5:12; 2 Timothy 2:26.
The Bible shows that no man was qualified to pay back the life lost by Adam as the law of God requires that a perfect life must go for a perfect life. (Exodus 21:23-25; Deuteronomy 19:21) As David said, no man "can by any means redeem his brother, nor give to God a ransom for him" - Psalm 49:7-10
In Hosea 13:14, God Almighty promised to ransom man from the power of the grave and to redeem man from death.
The purpose of God in relation to the salvation of mankind was fulfilled in miniature during the first Passover which, God commanded the Jews to observe in the land of Egypt. The blood of the lamb sprinkled on the lintel served as ransom for the lives of the first born of the Hebrews. But the first born of all the Egyptians were killed. - Exodus 12:3-17.
Also in Leviticus 16 God Almighty made provision for a Day of Atonement in which a bullock and a lamb were slain for the sins of the people.
John the Baptist positively identified Jesus Christ as the "Lamb of God which taketh away the sins of the world" - John1:29. See also Revelation 13:8
Caiaphas the High Priest was moved by God to proclaim " it is expedient for us, that one man should die for the people, and that the whole nation perish not." John 11:49-52
Jesus Christ himself testified that one of the principal reasons of his coming to the earth was to give his life a ransom for many. (Matthew 20:28) In the words of St. Paul, "Jesus Christ came to taste death for every man". (Hebrews 2:9) St. Peter further explained that the world is not redeemed by corruptible things as silver and gold but by "the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without spot." - 1 Peter 1:19.
By virtue of the ransom sacrifice of Christ, all who hear the truth and follow it sincerely and earnestly to the end will be saved from the sentence of death passed on Adam and live for ever. "But if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ, His son cleanseth us from all sin." - 1 John 1:7
This is a grand manifestation of the love of God for mankind. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." - John 3:16
The ransom sacrifice of Christ makes it imperative for all to flee from the works of darkness to the light of Christ "And that he died for all, that they which live should not henceforth live unto themselves, but unto him which died for them, and rose again." - 2 Corinthians 5:15
