The 10 Fundamental Truths::

The 10 Fundamental Truths of the Holy Bible

The holy bible, containing 66 books by holy men of old under God's inspiration was written for our learning so that mankind who fell from grace through sin in the garden of Eden may be reconciled to God by grace through Jesus Christ.

There are therefore 10 fundamental truths, also referred to as the 10 strings which are interwoven for righteousness.
These 10 truths of the bible are as current today as they were in ancient times and ultimately essential for true understanding of Jehovah (the almighty) God and his purposes of creation through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ.

GKS Foundation::

A True Foundation

What does God's Kingdom Society (GKS) stand for? How, when and by whom was she founded? What precisely is her mission? And what are her doctrines?
These are some of the questions often asked by people. Many of whom ask with a sincere desire to know the truth, but some others do merely to find fault. Whatever the motive of anyone, the facts, no doubt, are of vital interest to unprejudiced, honest people.

There is nothing in the history of the GKS for which we the members should be ashamed. It is a record of happenings that confirm the time-honoured truth that what God has planted no one can uproot. And so, we have every cause, rather, to glory in the Lord.

1.WHO WAS MELCHIZEDEK?

THAT Jesus Christ as the chief of the angels of God it was who, in his pre-human days, appeared as Melchizedek to Abraham, is a revealed truth of great significance. And that he (Melchizedek) suddenly appeared on earth as a priest-king having neither beginning nor end of days, with no ancestry or descent, and in the same way disappeared, is therefore understandable, certainly, it was a divinely guided act that Abraham on meeting him was able at once to recognize his importance and superior authority.

 ||

2.Do you know Christ was killed on a Wednesday?

One of the interesting incidents of old which God Almighty used to illustrate salient divine truths to prepare man for the glorious reward of eternal life in His everlasting Kingdom is the story of Jonah. It is more than a story of obedience and God’s mercy on repentant sinners. . .

 ||

3. For Betraying Jesus Christ - Was Judas Iscariot justified?

WHATEVER benefit mankind derives from the death of Christ was never Judas Iscariot’s credit but an act of God. Who turns the evil of the wicked to the good of His children. People who defend the action of Judas for betraying our Lord do so out of an ungodly disposition or scorn for righteousness or because of their ignorance of the Scriptures.

 ||

4. Good Friday and Easter

FOR reasons purely spiritual, the God’s Kingdom Society (GKS) observes neither “Good Friday” nor Easter. The appellation of ‘good’ by which the day of Christ’s passion and ignominious death is identified is irreconcilable with scriptural facts. And Easter, which is derived from paganism, ought not to be associated with Christianity at all!

 ||

5. Is the pentinent thief in Heaven?

That one of the two thieves hanged beside Jesus Christ was taken to heaven by him the same day of his crucifixion is widely believed in Christendom. Not only has the thief been given the title of “Good Thief” or “Holy Thief”, a day has also been set aside to commemorate him. But did Jesus Christ go to heaven the day he was killed? Or could the so-called “Good Thief” have gone there before him? And is there any scriptural justification for all the veneration being accorded the penitent thief?

 ||

6. The Lord's Supper

On the eve of the Feast of Passover, which was also the eve of his death, Jesus Christ in a brief ceremony, entertained his 12 apostles exclusively to a special meal of bread and wine with thanksgiving as memorial of himself.  This meal was historic because of its spiritual significance.  St. Paul termed it “The Lord’s Supper”.

 ||

7. Was Jesus Christ hanged on a cross or tree?

This erroneous belief that our Saviour Jesus Christ was crucified on a cross has given rise to superstitious tendencies and practices in Christendom for which there can be no scriptural justification. According to the Scriptures, the instrument upon which Christ was hanged and which in the Gospels in sometimes termed cross was in fact a tree or piece of word. And to venerate the cross is idolatrous.

 ||

8. What is the place of the cross in Christianity?

NEITHER Jesus Christ nor his apostles attached importance to the literal cross. Whenever they employed the word ‘cross’ for the edification of the believers it was in the figurative sense according to the Scriptures.

 ||

9. What the Bible says about Fasting?

Due to the prevalence of fasting as a required rite among several churches in Christendom, many people have been asking questions as to the place of fasting in Christianity.

Fasting is abstinence from food for a fixed period of time.  It implies the taming of the passions such that one denies oneself things that give pleasure and comfort even if such are lawful..

 ||

10. Are we like our father Abraham?

The name “Abraham” means “father of a multitude”.  Before God changed the name of Israel’s first great patriarch to Abraham, he was known as Abram which means “exalted father”, while the wife’s name was changed from Sarai to Sarah  meaning “princess”.  The book of Genesis chapter 11 verse 26 to chapter 26 verse 11 contain the story of Abraham.

 ||

11. Contentment

Contentment means the state of being satisfied with one’s possession or achievement in life.  A contented person is never worried by or envious of other people’s wealth and attainments.

 ||

12. Faith

Faith is strong belief in God.  In the words of St. Paul, “it is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” -Hebrews 11:1.
Faith comes by knowledge. (Romans 10:17)  It is one of the gifts of the spirit. (1 Corinthians 12:9) It varies in degree from person to person. (Romans 1:17) Faith is so important that St. Paul stated: “But without faith it is impossible him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)

13. Flee into  the Mountain

In addition to the World Wars, general unrest and depravity in the land, Jesus Christ gave another sign which, if the sheep of God see, they would know that the end is near and take immediate step to secure their own salvation. He Said: “When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him understand:) Then let them which be in Judaea flee into the mountains.” – Matthew 24:15,16.

 ||

14. God’s Kingdom, the only hope of the world

     God’s Kingdom is the everlasting and perfect government of God Almighty, covering the heavens and the earth, to be inhabited by spirit persons and human beings which God Almighty promised through the mouth of His holy prophets to establish in these last days.  For the fact that people of the world are directly or indirectly seeking for the things that can only be attained in that Kingdom, it is described as “the desire of all nations”.  (Haggai 2:7) Because of its importance, Jesus Christ taught his disciples to pray for the Kingdom. (Matthew 6:9,10)

15. Homosexuality/Same Sex Unions

      One needs the accurate knowledge God and faith in Him for one to overcome the wiles of the Devil. What depraved persons in time past did in secret and hid their faces in shame when caught is now not only being glorified but also canvassed in top religious circles. This indeed is a perverse and crooked generation.

 ||

16. Love your enemies and be tolerant

     For one reason or the other, people make enemies knowingly or unknowingly.  But experience has shown that by exercising the godly qualities of love and tolerance towards enemies, some had become friends to the benefit of both parties.  The need to love and tolerate our enemies therefore cannot be overstressed.

 ||

17. Remember Lot's wife

One significant event that happened in those days which serves as guide and warning to the worshippers of God is the story of Lot’s wife.  This woman’s name was not mentioned in the Scriptures like Portipher’s wife in Egypt.

 ||

18. Is there anything like Holy Ghost fire in the bible?

Instead of carefully scrutinizing what they have been taught in the light of the Scriptures, many professed Christians today allow themselves to be carried away by every wind of doctrine as long as such appear to satisfy their immediate emotional and material concerns. One of such doctrines is the teaching that there is something like “holy ghost fire” which can be invoked to destroy one’s enemies or whatever obstacles that may lie in one’s way.

 ||

19. RAPTURE - As seen through the Holy bible

Many professed Christians in these last days constantly express with vigour and zest their belief in rapture or what they call a ‘rapturous meeting’ with the Lord on that great day of his coming.
Though they differ in details, the believers in the rapture doctrine essentially believe that Jesus Christ will return in person, in flesh and blood to the earth at an unknown future date when all the faithful will at the blast of an angelic trumpet ascend to meet the Lord physically in the air: but unbelievers shall be consigned forever to the fiery furnace of hell.

 ||

20. SPEAKING IN TONGUES: As seen through the holy bible

The ability to speak in tongues or in languages which one had never learned was one of the gifts which God Almighty used to propagate the gospel in the early days of Christianity.

Due to ignorance, it has become the norm these days for Churches to stake their credibility on their ability to speak in tongues.

 ||

21. THE BLOOD OF JESUS: What does it signify?

The blood of Jesus Christ, which he shed on the tree at Golgotha about 2000 years ago, provided the ransom required to free the people of God from the bondage of sin and death. However, because of the manner in which Christ's shed blood is being interpreted by a growing number of professed Christians, there is need for close study of the subject in the light of the Holy Scriptures.

QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS ON FEAST OF TABERNACLES

1. Question: What is the Feast of Tabernacles?
Answer:   The Feast of Tabernacles is an annual festival that was instituted by the Almighty God since the days of Moses the prophet during the historic journey of the Israelites from Egypt to Canaan. On that occasion the children of Israel were by law enjoined to make offerings to the Lord and to dwell in booths as a memorial of their experience in the wilderness when God made them live in booths under His protection. The ordinance concerning the Feast is recorded at Leviticus 23: 33-43. It is often called THE FEAST OF FEASTS OR THE FEAST OF REJOICING as  It was celebrated to show appreciation to God for His goodness on His people and to pray for more of His benefits in the succeeding year. It is also called the Feast of Ingathering because it was celebrated when they had gathered in their corn and their wine. - Deuteronomy 16:13. .pdf  | .doc
