Theme: ABIDING IN THE SECRET PLACE OF THE MOST HIGH
Text: “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” – 1 Timothy 3:15.
Comment: In fulfillment of age-long biblical prophecies, we are already in the kingdom age when the “Lord of the harvest is now gathering His sheep into His “secret place” through the dispensation of the saving gospel by the remnant of the apostles and their helpers. (Genesis 49:10; Isaiah 56:8; Matthew 24:14,31). Any organization established by the class of the anointed Christians, are places of safety where lovers of truth flee to, in order to distinguish themselves as wise, understanding, and peculiar people. When they flee into her, they are required to imbibe and maintain the principles and standards obtained therein. God’s way, rightly designated “narrow” by our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ is a way of orderliness, coupled with right conduct. As such, there is judgment, and also discipline, for the betterment of the sheep of God, in that, in course of time “it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby”. – Hebrews 12:11.
Having given to Timothy the charge as in the text for today, numerous qualities that make for good behavior were mentioned, to include diligence, faith, virtue, knowledge, etc. are listed in 2 Peter 1:5-7. God helping, where we are able to internalize or entrench these qualities, we shall abound with spiritual blessings, chief of which, is that “an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”. – 2 Peter 1:11.
