Theme: WHY SOME PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED BY GOD
Text : “And Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, Oh that thou wouldest bless me indeed, and enlarge my coast, and that thine hand might be with me, and that thou wouldest keep me from evil, that it may not grieve me! And God granted him that which he requested.” – 1 Chronicles 4:10.
Comment: The text for today explains that Jabez prayed for prosperity and protection and God answered his prayer. Another example that shows that God answers prayers was when Joshua asked the sun to stand still. “Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; and thou, Moon, in the valley of Ajalon. And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies… So the sun stood still in the midst of heaven, and hasted not to go down about a whole day.” There is no impossibility with God. Nothing is beyond the control of JEHOVAH the Almighty God. – Joshua 10:12-14.
