Text: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls”. – Matthew 11:28,29.
Comment: In the text above, Christ urges all persons who are downcast in spirit to come to him for succour and he will give them rest. God will never reject His people (Hebrews 13:5,6; 1Samuel 12:22). How do we come to God? We do so through regular prayers and supplications. Through prayers, we make our requests known to God. When we are bothered about anything, instead of worrying, let us pray. “Be careful for nothing”, St. Paul tells us, “but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God”. (Philippians 4:6). If we are bothered about what to eat or where to stay or who to comfort us, that will not solve the problem. It will only compound it. Therefore, let us place all before God with faith and He will provide an answer. Remember that there is nothing too hard for God to do. – Jeremiah 32:27,17.
