Theme:THE FUTILITY OF WORLDLY WISDOM
Text: “And the inhabitant shall not say, I am sick: the people that dwell therein shall be forgiven their iniquity.” – Isaiah 33:24.
Comment: The world today is full of sicknesses and diseases of which some are incurable. A World Health Organisation publication states that this 21st Century has been plagued by major epidemics. Some of the old diseases like Cholera, Plague and Yellow Fever are coming back. Diseases like SARS, EBOLA and ZIKA are now rampart. There was HIV/AIDS, and recently the whole world has been battling COVID-19, Lasar Fever, Anthrax, etc. Scientists, doctors, pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists and researchers have researched and learned much about sicknesses/diseases but they have not been able to find cure for all diseases. This shows the limitation of human wisdom and knowledge. God has promised to take away diseases and sicknesses from man when His Kingdom is perfected. (Isaiah 33:24; Jeremiah 33:6; Malachi 4:2) These are things that cannot be guaranteed by worldly wisdom.
