Theme: THE EXISTENCE OF GOD

Text: The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.” – Psalm 14: 1.

Comment: The injustices, oppressions, greed, selfishness and wickedness in the world today are due to the fact that many of the people do not believe in God. People who have such disposition do not believe that there are consequences for wrong actions and so they do whatever they like when they have the opportunity to do so. Those who doubt the existence of God, are regarded as fools because there is overwhelming evidence from created things to convince every reasonable person on earth that God exists.  Isaiah the prophet declared, “Lift up your eyes on high, and behold who hath created these things, that bringeth out their host by number: he calleth them all by names by the greatness of his might, for that he is strong in power; not one faileth.” – Isaiah 40:26.

The wonders of the universe should fill us with the firm conviction that He should be trusted to protect and provide for His people. “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” (Jeremiah 32:17) In verse 27 of the same chapter, God Almighty declares: “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” “By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas.” – Psalm 65:5 New King James Version.
