Theme: THE POWER OF PRAYER

Text: “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything; tell God your needs and don’t forget to thank him for his answers. If you do this you will experience God’s peace, which is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand. His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest as you trust in Christ Jesus.” – Philippians 4:6,7,  – The Living Bible.

Comment: The only solution to the issues or challenges of life no matter how intense they appear is by taking them to God through prayers, “Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.” – 1 Peter 5:7; See also Psalm 55:22,16,17.

Christians should not allow worry and anxiety to weigh them down. (Matthew 6:25-34; 1 Thessalonians 3:3-5) The Bible says: “Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee.” – Jeremiah 32:27,17.

God has promised to bless and reward all those who remain faithful even in the midst of afflictions and pains. Such ones will surely enjoy the peace of God by His grace. Isaiah the prophet declared: “Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding. He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength. Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall: But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” – Isaiah 40:28-31.
