Theme: Casting All Our Burden On The Lord

Text: “And, behold, thy cousin Elisabeth, she hath also conceived a son in her old age: and this is the sixth month with her, who was called barren. For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:36, 37.

Comment: God’s ability to do what in human reasoning is impossible was made expressly known by the angel Gabriel when he informed Mary about the conception of her cousin Elizabeth who had gone past the age of childbearing at that time. – Luke 1:36-37.

As God’s true worshippers, there is nothing we desire that Our God Whose Holy Name is JEHOVAH that He cannot do for us, if it is His will. In actual fact, is there any problem that God cannot grant us solution to? Is there anything we need that God cannot provide for us? Certainly, there is none! Thus, we align ourselves with the words of Jeremiah the Prophet to God Almighty: “Ah Lord God! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee”. – Jeremiah 32:17.

The realization that there is nothing too hard for God to do for us should make us not to be burdened by worries and anxieties. Hence the Bible says: “Trust in him at all times; ye people, pour out your heart before him: God is a refuge for us.” (Psalm 62:8) “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.” – Matthew 7:7, 8.
