Theme: THE GOLDEN RULE
Text: “That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another. And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honored, all the members rejoice with it.” – 1 Corinthians 12:25, 26.
Comment: Undeniably, the principles of the Golden Rule cannot thrive in an atmosphere of rancour, contention, division, rivalry, anarchy and self-centeredness. The Golden Rule teaches oneness of mind and unity of purpose in the service of God as well as the ability to seek the good of others. The erudite apostle, Paul admonishes: “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” (1 Corinthians 1:10) He added: “Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others.” (Philippians 2:4) Let us imbibe this principle for our good by God’s grace.
