Theme: UNDERSTANDING THE SIGNS OF THE TIMES
Text: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.” Ephesians 5:15, 16.
Comment: Every Christian that wants to be saved must be equipped with a good understanding of the signs of the times and of the will of God. This will certainly inspire his determination to meet the Lord’s requirements. When our Lord and Saviour beamed his searchlight on the signs of the end of the world, it was his desire that his disciples in this age should show great understanding, with persistency in prayer and faith. “Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit; Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord”. (Ephesians 5:17-19) This is the only way of escape from the turmoil and tribulations of the times as to be able to stand before Him justified for life. We must therefore endeavor to serve God sincerely, read the Bible diligently, carefully and prayerfully in order to understand the will of God and the signs of the times. – Luke 21:34-36; 1 Peter 4:7.
