Theme: THE WILL OF GOD

Text: “See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is.” – Ephesians 5:15-17.

Comment: We are living in very dangerous times. The days are perilous because of the attitude of man to one another engineered by the devil. St Paul highlighted them thus: “For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.” (2 Timothy 3:2-5). People of God cannot afford therefore to live outside this knowledge but to be very careful at all times. The doing of the will of God which is out of an understanding heart should be our priority. We should give ourselves to meditation constantly so that God will always be with us. King David said in Psalm 4:4,5, “Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD.” Of vital importance is serving God in His holy Mountain, of which the GKS is part and parcel. “Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.” – 2 Timothy 2:19.
