Text: “This is a faithful saying, and these things I will that thou affirm constantly, that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works.” – Titus 3:8.
Comment: In answer to a series of questions he had put up for consideration, the prophet Micah stated that in reciprocation of God’s goodness, His children are to “do justly, and to love mercy, and to walk humbly with thy God”. (Micah 6:6-8) The fact that salvation is not instantaneous, should propel every believer to continue diligently in good deeds, till the appointed time when the God of our salvation shall grant justification to the righteous, by His grace. Our encouragement lies in the certainty of God’s promise. (Hebrews 10:23). Concluding the text for today, St. Paul wrote to Titus, “These things are good and profitable unto men.”
