Text: “Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled, and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.” – Acts 4:13
Comment: Peter and John were among the 12 Apostles God Almighty through Jesus Christ chose to be part of his Ministry. By this, a succession plan was put in place. So thorough was their training, coupled with the anointing so that the Jewish leaders could not withstand the apostles in any debate. A leader should have a succession plan in which he would groom people to carry on his values, plans or ideas. Such a programme prevents vacuum, confusion and conflicts and ensures that noble programmes do not end with the exit of the person or persons who started them. In fact, a leader has failed if he is not able to groom successors. (John 17:18; 20:21; Deuteronomy 1:15; 1 Samuel 8:11) No matter how good a system is, it cannot last unless succeeding generations understand it and continue with it.
