Theme: LORD, WHO SHALL ABIDE IN THY TABERNACLES?

Text: “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.” – Psalm 27:4.

Comment: Collectively, all who have come to the narrow way, God’s Kingdom Organization, otherwise designated “the house of the God of Jacob”, have made a vow to remain therein till the end, God helping them. This vow should be kept inviolate. While we need the help of God to accomplish this, like King David, we are to make frantic efforts as well, hence he added, “that will I seek after”. Earlier, he had told us that, abiding in God’s holy hill entails swearing to one’s own hurt without looking back. (Psalm 15:1, 4) Christians should remain committed to their vows even when faced with the trial of their faith at the instance of our common enemy, Satan, who is bitterly opposed to all who are sincerely dedicated to the worship of God Almighty. In return, by the grace of God, goodness and mercy shall follow them all the days of their life. – Psalm 23:6; Romans 8:35, 37-39; Hebrews 10:35, 36, 38, 39.
