Theme: ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF GOD
Text: “Gather yourselves together, yea, gather together, O nation not desired; Before the decree bring forth, before the day pass as the chaff, before the fierce anger of the LORD come upon you, before the day of the LORD’s anger come upon you. Seek ye the LORD, all ye meek of the earth, which have wrought his judgment; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of the LORD’s anger.” – Zephaniah 2:1-3.
Comment: It is of utmost importance that those gathered to God should strive to do His will at all times else they will not be saved. The day in which God will destroy the devil and all forms of wickedness is fast approaching. Those who desire salvation should seek the face of God and worship Him for His protection and deliverance. Our Lord Jesus Christ emphasized this so clearly in the parable of the net as well as that of the wheat and tares, on which, in concluding he said: “The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.” – Matthew 13:24-30, 39-43, 47-50.
