Theme: The Love of Money
Text: “A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.” – Ecclesiastes 10:19.
Comment: It should be borne in mind that, despite the numerous benefits financial independence gives; money sure has its limitations. True and lasting joy comes from the Most High. This He promises us especially in His Kingdom fully set up by His grace. (Isaiah 51:3; 65:17-19; Revelation 21:3) If money could secure one perfect health, perhaps none of the rich will die of any ailment or terminal disease. Those who are desirous of getting rich at all costs lack the fear of God, as well as spiritual understanding. According to the Holy Bible, it is the fear of God, which makes one depart from evil, that would secure us riches and other blessings from Him. King Solomon wrote: “By humility and the fear of the LORD are riches, and honour, and life.” – Proverbs 22:4.
