Theme: INTEGRITY

Text: ‘For the Lord God is a sun and shield: the Lord will give grace and glory: no good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly”. – Psalm 84: 11.

Comment:  Integrity brings children of God closer to Him and He does not fail to shower blessings on them, even though they may suffer sometimes for holding unto their integrity. A striking example was Job. He maintained his integrity till the end in the face of myriads of trials and temptations –  and for this God blessed him. The divine record states, “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning: for he had fourteen thousand sheep, and six thousand camels, and a thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand she asses. He had also seven sons and three daughters. And he called the name of the first, Jemima; and the name of the second, Kezia; and the name of the third, Kerenhappuch. And in all the land were no women found so fair as the daughters of Job: and their father gave them inheritance among their brethren. After this lived Job an hundred and forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons’ sons, even four generations. So Job died, being old and full of days.” (Job 42:12-17. See also James 5:10,11) God has promised all His worshippers assorted blessings on the condition of remaining faithful or upright. (Deuteronomy 30:19; 28:1-14) The failure of some of Jehovah’s worshippers to meet the standard of integrity and faithfulness expected of them debars them from receiving blessings from Him. – Isaiah 59:1, 2.
