Theme: THE END OF THE WICKED

Text: “Riches profit not in the day of wrath: but righteousness delivereth from death.” – Proverbs 11:4.

Comment: What many people lose sight of is that God Almighty will destroy this world someday. It is only those who trust in Him that will be delivered. Worldly attainments would be meaningless at that time, and indeed, as far as salvation is concerned. –  Psalm 20:7; Proverbs 27:24; Matthew 6:19-21.

We should carefully mark the words of David the Psalmist, to wit, “Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.” – Psalm 37:3-6.

It follows therefore that we should exercise faith in God Almighty and do His will at all times. No one should be carried away by the privileges he has attained as to do wickedness to anyone. “I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.  Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.  Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man is peace.” Psalm 37:35-37.
