Theme: WATCH AND PRAY

Text: “Praise waiteth for thee, O God, in Sion: and unto thee shall the vow be performed.  O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.”  – Psalms 65:1,2.

Comment: There is no doubt that our God, JEHOVAH, answers prayers as stated in today’s text by King David, the sweet Psalmist of Israel.  This understanding should encourage us to continue to pray to Him always and more earnestly as we know we are in the last days of this evil world.  All persons bogged down with problems or challenges of life should cast all such cares on Christ with faith, calling on the Father, with holy hands and clean hearts and their petitions will be granted them by His grace. (1  Timothy 2:8;  Luke 21:25,26;  1 Peter 5:7).  Our Lord Jesus Christ stated: “And when these things begin to come to pass, then look up, and lift up your heads; for your redemption draweth nigh.” – Luke 21:28.

Jesus Christ gave mankind a recipe on how to get answers to our prayers.  He said: “And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.” (Matthew 21:22).  This recipe from the Master is clearly saying that we will get all we ask for if we ask according to the will of  God and without wavering.  He declared: “…Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done.” – Matthew 21:21.
