Theme: IT SHALL BE WELL WITH THE RIGHTEOUS

Text: “And the LORD said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.” – Genesis 7:1.

Comment: Noah is an example of a righteous man. In his days when wickedness and violence tilted the scale in place of righteousness, he did not budge, rather he remained “a just man and perfect in his generation”. (Genesis 6:5-12) Even “the sons of God” (angels) were not left out in the wicked acts. They came down from heaven and had carnal knowledge of the beautiful daughters of men. This greatly infuriated the Almighty God making Him to feel sorry for man and even animals whom He had created. (Genesis 6:1-6) Noah was directed to construct an ark and he and his seven-member family were saved. (Hebrew 11:7; 2 Peter 2:5) It was David the Sweet Psalmist of Israel who declared: “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know Thy name will put their trust in thee. For thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” – Psalm 9:9, 10.
