Text: “Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place?” – Psalm 24:3.
Comment: While the “door of faith” is open to all, without any form of discrimination by way of gender, status, place of origin, etc., (Galatians 3:28) it is imperative for all “candidates” for salvation to show some level of commitment by abstaining “from all appearance of evil”. In Psalm 15:2, the Psalmist proffers answer to the question under consideration, by stating: “He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.” Uprightness, righteousness, and truthfulness, are all summarized in one word, INTEGRITY. True converts are expected to be a reflection of what they preach, read, and hear, from the Holy Bible. (James 1:22; 2:12) According to James the apostle, anything short of this, is self-deceit. We should therefore strive to outgrow any conduct short of integrity, a virtue recommended by King David for our preservation. – Psalm 25:21; 41:12.
