Theme: WHY SOME PRAYERS ARE NOT ANSWERED BY GOD

Text: “If thou return to the Almighty, thou shalt be built up, thou shalt put away iniquity far from thy tabernacles.” – Job 22:23.

Comment: Sin is a transgression of the laws of God. We are to repent and go back to God in righteousness. Then when we pray to God, He will hearken to our petitions. The word of God helps us to identify our areas of shortcomings so that we can make amends. The Psalmist declared: “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word. With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments. Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” (Psalms 119:9-11) In Job 22:27 the Holy Bible says: “Thou shalt make thy prayer unto him, and he shall hear thee, and thou shalt pay thy vows.”
