Text: “Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice.” – Ephesians 4:31.
Comment: Some children have been observed to exhibit this Conduct Disorder (CD) called anger. The instance of the two sons of Jacob; Simeon and Levi who expressed their anger by killing all the men of a city because the prince of the city defiled their sister, Dinah is worthy of mention as it brought much pain to the heart of their father Jacob who pronounced curse on their anger. (Genesis 34:1-5, 25-31; 49:5-7. Proverbs 14:17, 29) Anger is a vice. (Proverbs 19:19, 26; 22:24; Ecclesiastes 7:9). It is natural to be angry but one should not be angry for too long. (Ephesians 4:26) When offended, point out the offence to your offender. (Matthew 18:15) Endeavour to leave a place when you are about getting stirred up with anger. – Proverbs 15:1; 2 Timothy 2:23, 24.
