Theme: DO NOT HARDEN YOUR HEARTS TO THE VOICE OF GOD
Text: “All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” – 2 Timothy 3:16, 17.
Comment: We learn about God and His beloved Son, Jesus Christ by His word – the Truth. Through it, we also learn His righteousness and how to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling (Jeremiah 9:23, 24; John 17:3; Romans 10:1-3, Philippians 2:12) Many who fail to live up to expectations are rebuked and corrected for their own good. (Proverbs 3:11, 12) Those who are exercised thereby, with such correction, it yields “the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them”. (Hebrews 12:7-11) We should be obedient to those who have the rule over us always (Hebrews 13:17) by making sure we hearken to godly instructions from them, so that we may be “perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”
