Theme: REMEMBER LOT’S WIFE

Text: “Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times.” – Psalm 106:3.

Comment: The error of Lot’s wife brings to the fore, the truism in the inspired words of Ezekiel the prophet, to wit: “Therefore, thou son of man, say unto the children of thy people, The righteousness of the righteous shall not deliver him in the day of his transgression: as for the wickedness of the wicked, he shall not fall thereby in the day that he turneth from his wickedness; neither shall the righteous be able to live for his righteousness in the day that he sinneth. When I shall say to the righteous, that he shall surely live; if he trust to his own righteousness, and commit iniquity, all his righteousness shall not be remembered; but for his iniquity that he hath committed, he shall die for it.” (Ezekiel 33:12, 13) Having escaped “Sodom” and fled to God’s Mountain, we have by implication, “put off concerning the former conversation (i.e. conduct) the old man, which is corrupt according to the deceitful lusts; And be renewed in the spirit of your mind; And that ye put on the new man, which after God is created in righteousness and true holiness.” – Ephesians 4:22-24.
