Theme: BE YE CIRCUMSPECT
Text: “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:” – 1 Peter 5:8.
Comment: The last day is a time true Christians should live in sobriety and not be careless, because the devil is relentlessly looking for more people to lure into destruction. For this reason, we should not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. We should not live solely for pleasures or be spiritually careless, but be knowledgeable and watchful of happenings so as not to be taken unawares. (2 Corinthians 2:11; Isaiah 47:8) Jesus Christ charged his disciples: “…And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares. Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.” – Luke 21:9,25,26,28,34,36.
