Theme: Be Careful for Nothing

Text: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6.

Comment: Faith, as defined by St. Paul “…is the confident assurance that something we want is going to happen. It is the certainty that what we hope for is waiting for us, even though we cannot see it up ahead.” (Hebrews 11:1 – Living Bible) It is strong and unwavering belief in the Almightiness of God.  Nobody should expect any help from God if he lacks faith. (James 1:6,7) The Scripture asserts that “whatsoever is not of faith is sin”. (Romans 14:23) God is ever ready to help us, but He will not do so if we are faithless or doubt His ability to save. Faith grows as one increases in the knowledge of God, it takes deep root as one is exposed to trials or temptations and gives one experience. -Romans 5:1; 1 Peter 5:10.
