Theme: FLEE YOUTHFUL LUSTS

Comment: This strong resistance warning by King Solomon of Bible fame, is really a “food for thought” for all those that are determined to please God irrespective of the lures of the devil in this present earth’s generation. The story of Amnon and Tamar (2 Samuel 13:1-39), is a ready example. Rather than flee, he (Amnon) had his way with his sister. He faced the consequence of his actions two years after. It is always better to resist and reject the ungodly lures of this age and keep ourselves unspotted from the world. (James 1:27; 1 John 2:15-17; Proverbs 4:14-18) We must be vigilant and prayerful, seek for God’s help to retrace our steps wherever we have gone astray. – Isaiah 1:18-20.
