Theme: WE SHALL ALL REAP WHAT WE SOW

Text: “Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do” – Hebrews 13:4

Comment: It is spiritually dangerous for one to relish in and continue in evil works just because one is not seen or caught and punished. The fact is that such are living in a fool’s paradise as God would visit them in due time. “Because sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily”, stated King Solomon, ”Therefore  the heart of the sons of men are fully set in them to do evil”. (Ecclesiastes 8:11). Jehovah, the Omniscience God, does know and see all things, whether open or secret. Explaining this fact to his spiritual son, Timothy, St. Paul wrote. “Some men’s sins are open beforehand, going before to judgment; and some men they follow after. Likewise also the good works of some are manifest beforehand; and they that are otherwise cannot be hid” (1 Timothy 5:24,25). This text also warns against persistence in wrong doing, and encourages continuance in well doing, whether or not one gets the punishment or blessings now or on resurrection day. Nevertheless, the truth remains that “though a sinner do evil an hundred times, and his days be prolonged, yet surely….. it shall be well with them that fear God, which fear before him: but it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days which are as a shadow; because he feareth not before God. – Ecclesiastics 8:12,13.
