Text: “Where was thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? …When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy?” – Job 38:4, 7.
Comment: Music has been part of God’s worship even before man was created. When God laid the foundation and cornerstone of the earth as reported in today’s text, the Morning stars (the LOGOS and LUCIFER) rejoiced on beholding such a display of power, wisdom and goodness of God therein. They jointly broke into singing of melodious songs of praises to God. Indeed, depth of appreciation of the goodness and the Almightiness of God does move a worshipper of God to always adore and sing His praises. St. Paul did exhort: “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ”. – Ephesians 5:19, 20; 1 Thessalonians 5:18.
