Theme: IT PAYS TO SERVE GOD FAITHFULLY TILL THE END

Text: “And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved” – Matthew 24:12, 13.

Comment: With the outset of the last day the world has been marching into harder and harder times. The last day, in which we are now, is a transition period that will mark the close of the age. These are unusual times that will tax the strength of men to the limits. It is those who have knowledge that will understand and face the times with Christian fortitude. Solomon the prophet stated: “Say not thou, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? for thou dost not enquire wisely concerning this.” (Ecclesiastes 7:10) He also says: “If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”  (Proverbs 24:10) Inasmuch as it is true that we, as God’s worshippers, will be persecuted at the instance of the devil, it behoves us all to be prayerful, to read our Bibles diligently and to support the work of God in every way we can. Bible understanding shows that those of goodwill towards God and His work should continue in His glorious service till the end as turning back is of no profit at all but is full of dangers and woes. “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompence of reward. For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.” – Hebrews 10:35, 36.
