Theme: BUILDING NEW JERUSALEM

Text:  “Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name.” – Revelation 3:12.

Comment:  The kingdom of God is called New Jerusalem. (Revelation 21:2) This kingdom would start in a very small way and grow gradually to fill the earth. The Kingdom seed(s) are the remnants of the saints in this last day. They are used by God to form the true church organization where all those who want to worship God in spirit and in truth go in and are saved.  This Kingdom which the Bible refers to as “the mountain of the Lord’s house” will grow to outshine or outgrow all worldly kingdoms and clubs and will stand forever. – Isaiah 2:2,3; Daniel 2:44.

It is important to note, that having been called by God into this mountain, which is New Jerusalem here on earth, we need to appreciate the grace of God on us and endeavor to serve God to the best of our ability.  In 1 Timothy 3:15, St. Paul advised thus, “But if I tarry long, that thou mayest know how thou oughtest to behave thyself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth.” He also exhorted the members at Thessalonica: “And that ye study to be quiet, and to do your own business, and to work with your own hands, as we commanded you; That ye may walk honestly toward them that are without, and that ye may have lack of nothing.” – 1 Thessalonians 4:11, 12.
