Theme: BLESS THE LORD, O MY SOUL
Text: “And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, be unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever.” – Revelation 5:13.
Comment: None, in both heaven above and earth beneath, qualifies to receive our worship. (Jeremiah 10:7; Revelation 4:11) It was with this understanding the Psalmist stated: “Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee.” (Psalm 73:25) He enjoined: “Bless the LORD, ye his angels, that excel in strength, that do his commandments, hearkening unto the voice of his word. Bless ye the LORD, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his, that do his pleasure. Bless the LORD, all his works in all places of his dominion: bless the LORD, O my soul.” (Psalm 103:20-22) In excellency and majesty, He excels all others (Exodus 15:11; Psalm 68:34; 148:13) and He is perfect in all His ways. ((Deuteronomy 32:4; Numbers 23:19; Genesis 18:25; James 1:17) All of these and more are enough for all of His creatures to extol Him. – Psalm 150:6.
