Theme: COPING WITH STRESS
Text: “Therefore rejoice, ye heavens, and ye that dwell in them. Woe to the inhabiters of the earth and of the sea! for the devil is come down unto you, having great wrath, because he knoweth that he hath but a short time.” – Revelation 12:12.
Comment: Bible understanding shows that the present world crises are at the behest of satan the devil who is using the ruling factors in the world to carry out his scheme of causing maximum distress in the world so as to cause the death of as many people as possible. It is because the devil and his agents have been cast down from heaven that he is hyperactive in this age, using wicked men to brazenly commit iniquity with impunity. St. Paul describes the age as “perilous”. In other words, greed, selfishness, arrogance, hypocrisy, carnality – in short, godlessness, will be the order of the day. We are seeing these fulfil to the letter. In Luke 17:26-29 Christ said people will be as indifferent to spiritual matters as they were in time of Noah and Lot until sudden destruction met them. This indifference we are increasingly seeing in the world today, but particularly in the so-called developed world. Apostle Peter exhorted: “But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.” – 1 Peter 4:7.
