Theme: THE SAVING AND HEALING POWER OF GOD ALMIGHTY

Text: “Rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer.” (Romans 12:12) “Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving.” – Colossians 4:2.

Comment: As true worshippers, we must have the faith that there is nothing impossible for God to do. “Ah Lord GOD! behold, thou hast made the heaven and the earth by thy great power and stretched out arm, and there is nothing too hard for thee: Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me?” – (Jeremiah 32:17,27) The Angel Gabriel told Mary “For with God nothing shall be impossible.” – Luke 1:37.

We must however avoid any thing that involves fetish practices or any taint of sin. When God forsook Saul because of his sin, he resorted to the witch of Endor. That signaled the end of his reign. (1 Samuel 28) The Bible says: “So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it; And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.” – 1 Chronicles 10:13,14.

We should be ready to take our problems to Him in prayer while waiting patiently for His intervention. (Luke 18:1) Knowing that in this age of his second presence many will not have the faith to be patient to endure until their prayers are answered, he asked the question, “Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” – Luke 18:8.
