Theme: BE YE CIRCUMSPECT
Text: “Well; because of unbelief they were broken off, and thou standest by faith. Be not highminded, but fear: For if God spared not the natural branches, take heed lest he also spare not thee.” – Romans 11:20, 21.
Comment: The natural Jews were people chosen by God, shown mercy and delivered at different times. (Amos 3:1, 2) However, the Almighty God was not pleased with the faithlessness of some of them hence it is written: “What then? Israel hath not obtained that which he seeketh for…” (Romans 11:7) Those things that happened to them are examples for us to learn from. “Now all these things happened unto them for ensamples: and they are written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.”, said Apostle Paul, who also added: “Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God. For we are made partakers of Christ, if we hold the beginning of our confidence steadfast unto the end;” – 1 Corinthians 10:11; Hebrews 3:12, 14.
