Theme: BIBLE PERSPECTIVES ON LEADERSHIP

Text: “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.” – Psalm 119:105.

Comment:  God’s word provides direction.  Where one who is in a position to lead others lacks the truth or fails to totally submit himself to the control of the Truth, he will not get proper guidance as to what is “that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God”. (Romans 12:1, 2) “Where there is no vision, the people perish; but he that keepeth the law, happy is he.”  (Proverbs 29:18) The art of leadership towards attaining set goals starts with clear vision.  Dilating on “Basic Ingredients of Leadership”, Michael Burcham posited: “The first basic ingredient of leadership is a guiding vision.”  He added: “A leader must know where he is going and be able to convince his people to follow him”. The ultimate goal of the people of God is to have eternal life.  – 1 John 2:25.
