Text: “…O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of thine hand, O king” – Daniel 3:16, 17
Comment: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah) were three faithful Jews who refused to worship the golden image of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon. Consequent upon this, they were bundled up and cast into a fiery furnace. It was so terribly hot that the flame killed the men who violently threw them into it. Yet God delivered the three faithful Jews in the long run. The protective might of faith derived from our heavenly Father manifested itself in the young men who came out of the fire unscathed. The king and his men saw these and were compelled to acknowledge the Almightiness of Jehovah God when he declared that there is none that can deliver after this sort.” – Daniel 3:1-30.
