Theme: Be Careful for Nothing

Text: “He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.” – Psalm 112:7.

Comment: The Christian trusts absolutely in the love and care of JEHOVAH and in His ability to solve every problem that comes his way.  And so he is not “afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday”. (Psalm 91:4-6) One cannot say he trusts in God and yet be constantly fearful, imagining that the worst is about to happen. Rather, he should be calm and composed as much as possible.  Scripture says: “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore will not we fear; though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea; Though the waters thereof roar and be troubled, though the mountains shake with the swelling thereof.” – Psalm 46:1-3.
