Theme: ABOUNDING IN THE WORK OF GOD
Text: “And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men; Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance.” – Colossians 3:23, 24.
Comment: The need for us to exercise joy in whatever work we do in the service of God is very important, knowing that our services to God will always be rewarded by Him. We can always abound no matter what we do to further the work of God. Whether we are preaching the message or behind the scenes doing various forms of works or manual labour in the house of God, we ought to devote ourselves to it wholeheartedly. To Church elders, St. Paul taught, “And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching. Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us”. – Titus 2:7,8 (New Living Translation).
