THE DANGER OF TALE BEARING AND RASH JUDGMENT
Text: “The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.” – Proverbs 18:8.
Comment: Talebearers by their lie telling and exaggerations on issues about their victims, end up hurting the person who listens to them. Recipients of false information should learn to control themselves when they hear things concerning others or the Church. They should not just conclude and believe everything but try to ask questions so as to know the truth about the subject matter. By not making further enquiry to ascertain the facts about what is told one, such persons make mistakes by falling into rash judgement and thereby err in their conclusions. King Solomon states: “He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him”. – Proverbs 18:13.
