Theme: SEEK YE FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD

Text: “But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6.

Comment: All true worshippers of God are distinguished by their faith or strong belief that God Almighty, The Self-Existing One, is always present with His people and sees all things; that it is by Him all other beings exist, and it is by Him that we live and move and have our being. (Acts 17:28) St. Paul stated that The Creator “is the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords; Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see”. (1 Timothy 6:15, 16) The names and titles of God Almighty such as “I am”, (Exodus 3:14) the “God of gods, and Lord of lords, (Deuteronomy 10:17), the “Ancient of days”. (Daniel 7:9) are expressive of His infinite power and might and of His ability to do all that we ask of Him. (Jeremiah 32:17) We should trust in His infinite power to grant the desires of all those who seek Him earnestly and sincerely. David declared: “The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee.” – Psalm 9:9, 10. See also Psalm 18:1; 27:5; 91:1; Isaiah 25:4; 32:2.
