Theme: GOD'S WORD - A LAMP TO MY FEET
Text: “There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” – Proverbs 16:25.
Comment: Whatever “pleasures” one derives from sin, it still does not change the age-long principle conveyed in Proverbs 11:19, to wit: “As righteousness tendeth to life: so he that pursueth evil pursueth it to his own death.” The spiritual enlightenment which the word of God confers on us, has put us in the path to life eternal. Being a strait way, it is highly regimented, giving no room for compromise. Unpopular as it is, it is very rewarding. King Solomon wrote concerning it: “Her ways are ways of pleasantness, and all her paths are peace.” (Proverbs 3:17, 18) Under divine inspiration, the Prophet Jeremiah recommends the way of truth for all who are burdened by the vicissitudes of life, when he stated: “Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls…” – Jeremiah 6:16.
