Comment: Serving God till the end entails being careful and not to think of oneself to be extraordinarily gifted and others being inferior. Also to avoid pride, lusts, etc. “But with many of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the wilderness. Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.” (1 Corinthians 10:5, 6) Humility should be embraced, as there is nothing anybody has that was not given to him by God. “For who maketh thee to differ from another? and what hast thou that thou didst not receive? now if thou didst receive it, why dost thou glory, as if thou hadst not received it?” and “But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble…Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.” – 1 Corinthians 4:7; James 4:6, 7, 10.
