Text: “So the LORD blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning.” – Job 42:12.
Comment: We often refer to the case of Job in the Holy Scriptures. The troubles that the devil brought upon him were much, coming in quick succession. Such a wealthy man of God was reduced from the height of greatness to the abysmal depth of a destitute for a brief period. He passed through the vicissitudes and hurdles of life but came out victorious. His tribulations were pathetic. He lost all his possessions including his household. (Job 1:13-19) As the tribulations soared, his foolish and faithless wife told him to “curse God and die”. He rebuked the wife outrightly. He did not sin with his lips. (Job 2:7-10) For this great act of Job, his end was blessed more than his beginning. (Job 42:12-17) Thus, it pays to be righteous as it is always rewarded by God Almighty. – James 5:10, 11.
