Text: “…Moses was admonished of God when he was about to make the tabernacle: for, See, saith he, that thou make all things according to the pattern shewed to thee in the mount.” – Hebrews 8:5.
Comment: Following God’s directive to him for the building of the tabernacle as in the text for today, Moses gave instructions to the workmen, especially, Bezaleel and Aholiab who supervised the craftsmen. As a diligent and committed leader, Bible records show that Moses “did look upon all the work, and, behold, they had done it as the LORD had commanded. (Exodus 39:42-43. See also Exodus 25:40; 26:30; Numbers 8:4) Nehemiah did not stay far away and be giving orders while he was governor of Judah but was on ground to encourage, tackle problems, make provisions for the rebuilding of Jerusalem walls and the return of captives (Nehemiah chapters 3 and 4). He was readily available to give direction and motivate his people. For the leader to supervise effectively, he too should know or have experience of what is right and good to be done. Herein lies the importance of the charge of St. Paul that those who rule should rule with diligence. – Romans 12:8.
