Theme: OVERCOMING BEHAVIOURAL DISORDER
Text: “Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” – Proverbs 22:6.
Comment: It is unfortunate that some parents are not alive to their God-given responsibility in checking and correcting their children when they start picking up some bad behaviours. The Priest Eli did not firmly chastise his two sons, Hophni and Phinehas when they were misbehaving with female worshippers. In the end, Eli and his two sons paid dearly for it. (1 Samuel 2:22-25; 4:10-22) Proper parental upbringing and good home training of children will help them to grow to become responsible adults with limited behaviour disorder by God’s grace. – Ephesians 6:4; Proverbs 22:15.
