Theme: BE YE CIRCUMSPECT

Text: “And in all things that I have said unto you be circumspect: and make no mention of the name of other gods, neither let it be heard out of thy mouth.” – Exodus 23:13.

Comment: Moses the Prophet gave the charge in the above text when the natural Jews were journeying from Egypt to Canaan. God Almighty created man in His image and blessed him with knowledge to discern between what is right and wrong. “And they shall teach my people the difference between the holy and profane, and cause them to discern between the unclean and the clean.” (Ezekiel 44:23) This shows that true worshippers are not to give themselves to the worship of other gods, as nobody can serve two masters. (Matthew 6:24) God Almighty declared: “Even every one that is called by my name: for I have created him for my glory, I have formed him; yea, I have made him.” and added “This people have I formed for myself; they shall show forth my praise.” – Isaiah 43:7,21 see also Revelation 4:11; Deuteronomy 8:19.
