Theme: IS IT VAIN TO SERVE GOD?

Text: “O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him.” – Psalm 34:8.

Comment: From all ecclesiastical records, never a time had the Almighty God left His sheep desolate. He will keep in safety all who put their trust in Him. (Isaiah 26:3, 4) Trusting the Most High involves undivided worship, abstaining from consultation of other gods, deities and diabolic practices, no matter the alluring enticements from the ungodly. (Isaiah 8:19, 20) What many people fail to realize is, engaging the “services” of witchdoctors, false prophets and occult groups only help to worsen their situations because whatever the devil gives with one hand, he retrieves in a greater measure with the other hand but God’s intervention is absolute, it is lasting. (Proverbs 10:22; Jeremiah 32:27, 17) Let us therefore be steadfast in our resolve to serve God and be more committed to His worship, as the end promises to be better and glorious by His grace. – Hebrews 10:35-39; 1 John 2:25.
